while early ideation explored a translucent texture and form inspired by Karim Rashid, a rounder look and stone finish was chosen for a solid, weathered feel. this chess set features 32 pieces which where 3d printed, coated in resin, spackled and painted.

embedded inside each, between 30 and 50 grams of steel create a distinctive but weighted experience. the board is constructed of polystyrene, leather, and 49 aluminum rivets
